Comments

Customers have the option to leave comments on certain content types within Sellvio, such as articles, events, and galleries.

In this chapter, we will discuss how to view and manage comments within Sellvio.

Each content type has a separate admin page for managing comments, which can be accessed from the admin sidebar via the following links:

  • Article Management → Comments
  • Events → Comments
  • Galleries → Comments

Since all three admin pages have the same functionality, we will discuss them together, covering their common uses and available features.

In Sellvio, a comment can be up to 1000 characters long.

Comments are not visible immediately after submission. An administrator must moderate and activate each comment before it appears under the article, event, or gallery.

“Active” comments tab

Comments

  1. Active / Deleted - The Comments administration screen contains two separate lists: one for active and one for deleted comments. Administrators can conveniently switch between these two lists using the tabs at the top of the screen.
  2. Title - the title of the article, event or gallery to which the comment was posted. Clicking on the title will open the post in a new tab and automatically scroll to the corresponding comment.
  3. Name - the name of the person who wrote the comment.
  4. Email - the email address of the person who wrote the comment.
  5. Active - indicates whether the comment is visible to other customers under the article, event or gallery.
  6. Created - the exact date and time the comment was posted.
  7. Comment content.
  8. To find a specific comment, simply enter the name or email address of the person who wrote the comment in the search bar and click the "magnifying glass" icon.
  9. By clicking on the "edit" button, business owners can edit existing comments.
  10. If a comment is no longer needed, business owners can delete it by clicking the "trash" button. As mentioned earlier, comments are not permanently deleted; they are first moved to a list of deleted comments. Deleted comments can be accessed using the tabs at the top of the screen.

“Deleted” comments page

Comments

The list of deleted comments is the same as the list of active comments, the only difference is the actions available at the end of each line that administrators can perform on the comments.

  1. By clicking the "edit" button, store owners can modify existing comments.
  2. By using the "Restore" button, comments can be returned to the list of active comments. If the comment was previously moderated and activated, it will reappear under the specific post to which it belongs.
